Hope Valley cyclist dies after reports of Grand Junction Rd Stobie pole crash

A cyclist died in a fatal accident at Hope Valley after apparently colliding with a Stobie pole on a major road.

A 70-year-old man has died after reports of a man crashing into a Stobie pole while cycling on a major road in Adelaide’s north.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Grand Junction Rd at Hope Valley about 10.40am on Wednesday.

An SA Police spokesman said efforts to revive the Hope Valley man failed and he died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators will investigate the circumstances leading to the crash and prepare a report for the coroner.

Traffic restrictions were in place after the accidents but have since been removed.
