FIVEaa breakfast duo wins Adelaide’s October 2018 radio ratings
FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings are celebrating four consecutive wins in Adelaide’s breakfast radio ratings — but ABC Adelaide is back on the way up.
FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings are still top of the breakfast pops in the latest Adelaide radio ratings survey. It’s their fourth consecutive win.
While the duo’s audience share in the critical timeslot dropped by 1 point — after recording their highest ever result of 15.6 last survey — with 14.6 they are still ahead of their closest rival, ABC Adelaide’s Ali Clarke. She jumped from third to second place with a 0.6 gain, taking her to 13.4.
Clarke is ahead of Mix 102.3’s Jodie Oddy and Mark Soderstrom, who slipped 0.8 to finish with 12.4.
Nova brekkie show’s Dylan Lewis and Hayley Pearson — now without ex-colleague Shane Lowe, who left the team about halfway through the ratings period — picked up 1.4 points to put them in fourth spot with 9.6.
In what has to be a downer for the duo, Triple M’s Roo & Ditts suffered the timeslot’s biggest loss of 2 points to fall to fifth place with 8.9, just ahead of Cruise 1323 on 8.3 after a 0.6 gain.
Following the exit of dumped trio Amos Gill, Cat Lynch and Angus O’Loughlin, Hit 107 has suffered a blow in its brekkie timeslot, dropping 0.5 to fall to eighth spot with 5.7, behind eighth place Triple J on 6.
The dismal ratings mean new recruits Andrew “Cosi” Costello and Rebecca Morse will have their work cut out for them big time when they start their new gigs at the station next year.
Mix 102.3 is still Adelaide’s number one station on 13, ahead of FIVEaa on 10.9.
FIVEaa are the leaders on the AM band, followed by Cruise 1323 on 10.2, after gaining 1 point to steal the second spot from 891 ABC Adelaide, which remained steady on 10 points.
