A man has died after a car hit a tree at Salisbury Plain along Main North Road on Wednesday.
Police and emergency services rushed to the scene about 1.40pm on Wednesday after reports a ute had left Main North Road and crashed into a tree.
The driver and only occupant of the car, a 24-year-old Modbury man, died at the scene.
The busy road is closed for northbound traffic from Park Terrace to Saints Road and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.

This man’s death is the 52nd life lost on SA roads on compared with 66 at the same time last year.
It’s the second serious crash in Adelaide on Wednesday after a fatal motorcycle smash in Redwood Park took the life of senior Rebels bikie Shane Smith.
