Bureau of Meteorology forecasts showers, possible thunderstorms and hail for Adelaide
After heavy falls overnight the state has woken up to more wet weather – and it’s not over yet, with possible thunderstorms later today and hail on Friday. See how much rain fell in your area.

By 6.30am on Thursday, there were high levels of overnight rainfall recorded and it’s forecast to continue throughout the day across many parts of the state.
The highest overnight rainfall in Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges was in Kuitpo with 13.4mm, closely followed by 10.2mm at Mount Lofty.
Strathalbyn saw overnight falls of 8.8mm, while Noarlunga recorded 7.6mm – only 0.6mm more than Adelaide Airport.
In Adelaide city, there was 6mm, while further out in the northern suburbs, Edinburgh locals experienced 5.8mm last night.
Elsewhere around the state, the Flinders and Mid North region recorded some of the highest overnight alls, with Snowtown experiencing 20.6mm of rain, Clare recording 8.8mm and Port Pirie Airport 7.2mm.
The West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Eastern Eyre Peninsula region also received a drenching, with Whyalla reaching the 10.6mm mark and Cleve Airport southwest of Whyalla recording 9.0mm.
In the Murraylands and Riverland region, Murray Bridge recorded 5.0mm of overnight rainfall, while Pallamana saw 2.2mm.
In the York Peninsula region, the highest overnight rainfall was around Minlaton Airport with 5.2mm, while Kadina had 2.2mm.
On Thursday, Adelaide will see the overnight showers continue well in to the day, with the Bureau of Meteorology expecting three to 10mm of rainfall and maximum temperatures of 17C as another cold front sweeps in.
The Bureau has also forecast thunderstorms late in the afternoon, with light winds becoming north-westerly 15km to 25km/h in the morning, then changing westerly 25 to 35km/h during the day.
Showers in the morning and thunders in the afternoon are forecasted for Elizabeth, Glenelg, and Noarlunga with maximum temperatures for Elizabeth reaching 17C, whereas Glenelg and Noarlunga will be one degree cooler.
Mt Barker will see maximum temperatures of 15C and a very high chance of rain in the afternoon and evening.
On Friday, it’s set to get even chillier, with up to 5mm of rain, possible hail and a maximum of just 14C. However, the showers will start to ease before returning again for the rest of the weekend, through to Tuesday.
