CCTV has caught the moment an elderly driver’s U-turn attempt ended in disaster, slamming into another car before ploughing into a shop fence.

An elderly driver has been captured accelerating and slamming through a shop fence after their U-turn went wrong in the western suburbs.
The incident played out just after 12:30pm at Seaton.
CCTV footage shows the driver attempt to perform a U-turn in front of an oncoming vehicle, which slams into their car.
After being hit, the elderly driver can be seen accelerating – narrowly missing a fence before ploughing through a parking lot and into another store’s shop fence.

Car hits Para Hills home
The footage comes after SES volunteers, SA Police and MFS crews attended a Para Hills home after a car came off the road and into the building.
SES volunteers were forced to stabilise the building after the car drove into a solid brick structure.
