$200,000 Lucky Lotteries Jackpot win leaves Mount Barker woman stunned

A shocked SA woman is now $200,000 richer and her local newsagency is celebrating its seventh top win after selling her the lucky ticket for the Monday night draw.

A stunned Adelaide Hills woman is now $200,000 richer after taking home the top prize of the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The mystery winner scooped the life-changing prize on Monday, after purchasing her ticket at Mount Barker Central Newsagency

“I honestly didn’t believe the newsagency clerk,” the woman said. “I have never won anything, so I was absolutely dumbfounded.

“I looked at him and I said, ‘Are you joking?’.”

The woman, who plays the lotto quite frequently, said she would think about how she’s going to spend the money.

Mount Barker Central Newsagency owner Rob Staples said he was thrilled that a local had won the 1st prize ticket sold at his outlet.

“The team and I are very excited,” Mr Staples said. “This will be our seventh overall major prize winner since 2019.

“We hope that this win will help you and your wider family during these tough economic times.”

The lucky Mount Barker woman is the second South Australian lottery winner this week, with a Modbury syndicate winning more than $535k on Saturday.
