A 15-year-old boy will face court on terrorism-related charges after being arrested on Friday night.

On Friday evening the SA Joint Counter Terrorism Team arrested a South Plympton boy and charged him with possession of information for terrorist acts, extremist material and taking part in the manufacture of explosives.

Police said they were not able to provide any more information about the charges or which terrorist organisation, if any, the boy was linked to.

Police said they were not investigating any other suspects related to the charges.

The boy has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Monday.
