TERRITORY students went back to school on Monday and for two schools, that means new shared facilities.
Zuccoli and Mother Teresa students will have joint access to a sports oval, multi-purpose hall and science, home economics and music learning spaces.
The new state-of-the-art facilities are part of the NT government’s second stage of the Zuccoli Primary School development that supports the significant residential growth in Palmsteron.

New Palmerston primary school to open in 2020
It is the first time a government and a catholic school have had shared facilities.
In its second year of operation, Zuccoli PS has increased its enrolments by 125 students, from 204 in 2020 to 329 in 2021.
More than 100 jobs were supported across two local businesses over the two stages of construction.
Education Minister Lauren Moss said this time last year stage 1 of construction at Zuccoli Primary School was completed in time for the start of the school year and on Monday the second stage was delivered, fast-tracked by two years for the start of the 2021 school year.

“Palmerston continues to be the fastest growing region of the Northern Territory as it was when this project commenced,” Ms Lawler said.
“The $30 million investment creates contemporary learning spaces to ensure that young Territorians are engaged and receive the best start towards a bright future while creating wider community benefit.”
