Tailgating is making Aussie drivers fume on our roads

Friends of 19-year-old Shakeena Abdulla are mourning the loss of a “beautiful soul”, after she died in hospital on Tuesday morning.

She is the second person to die from the horrific car collision near Two Wells on Friday, when the car she was a passenger in struck a school bus at the intersection of Mallala Road and Navvy Hill Road in Korunye.

Friend and fellow passenger Chloe Glasson died at the scene, while driver Seth Rigney, 23, of Freeling has been charged over the crash.

Ms Abdulla was taken to hospital on Friday morning but died on Tuesday morning, four days after the crash.

Close friend Lahtiesha Warren said Ms Abdulla was taken from them far too soon and that her death has “left many broken”.

“This seems so unreal,” Ms Warren said.

“She didn’t deserve what happened to her.

“She was such a beautiful girl, she was so outgoing, so caring and loving, everyone knew her beautiful face, she was so happy every time I saw her and I was around her.

“May she rest in peace, forever 19.

“It’s so heart breaking that she didn’t make it, we are all lost for words.”

Shakiina-Jai Forbes expressed her disbelief at the tragedy in a Facebook post.

“I can’t seem to wrap this whole thing around my head, I don’t even know how I’m gonna get over this, I love you forever and ever, Shak.”

Friend Alanah Sullivan published a message she received from Ms Abdulla just a few weeks earlier with the promise, “we gotta catch up soon”.

“God, I don’t even want to believe this happened,” Ms Sullivan wrote.

“I am going to miss you so much my girl.

“The beautiful voice you have and the smile, I don’t know what I am going to do now without you.”
