The Yarra Valley — famed for its wines — also made the list with Oakridge at 44, Tarrawarra at 54 and Levantine Hill at 75.

Oakridge executive chef Aaron Brodie said the venue was “ecstatic” to be included in the rankings.

“It is a great time to be getting some attention as we want people to be returning to some sense of normalcy as spring and summer start to kick in,” he said.

Tarrawarra head chef Joel Alderdice said it was “lovely” to be included in the top 100.

“The calibre of restaurants in the list is so high and to be considered among them is really special for the whole team,” he said.

“We have a lot of parts to the TarraWarra team from gardeners, winemakers, cellar door staff and gallery workers. It all contributes to the Tarrawarra experience.

“Being included in lists like these means hopefully more guests will come to visit our beautiful part of the world.”

Levantine Hill Estate managing director Samantha Jreissati said the winery was “delighted” to be recognised.

“Being only one hour out of the CBD, we are fortunate here in the Yarra Valley to be able to showcase the best local produce and provide an authentic cellar door experience to visitors from across Melbourne,” she said.

Beechworth’s Provenance came in at number 57, while Kynton’s Midnight Starling placed 64.

Finally, Gembrook’s The Independent placed at 76, famed for its Argentinian fare.

Chef patron Mauro Callegari said it was an honour for The Independent to again be featured among the best restaurants in Victoria.

“It obviously makes a big difference, we have so many people visiting who come with a cut out of the listing and want to try the dishes mentioned,” he said.

“I often say from locals to tourists we have the best customers in the world.”

Mr Callegari said it was incredibly important to see representation of regional dining on the Delicious 100 list, showcasing the “fantastic offerings” available outside of Melbourne.

“There are great chefs across Victoria, it’s amazing to see when they get some recognition,” he said.
