A young motorcyclist who was soon to be a father has been remembered as a “warm, caring and loving soul” after his sudden death, as family and friends said their final farewells in a moving funeral procession.
Jordan Wiseman, 25, collided with a car while riding on Seaview Rd at Henley Beach late last month.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics to revive him, Jordan died at the scene.
Family and friends gathered in bright colours on Friday, as a procession of motorbikes rode through the streets at Flinders Park in an emotional tribute to the dad-to-be.
“A send off so fitting, rest easy darling boy,” one friend said of the ceremony.
In a tribute shared to The Advertiser, family described Jordan as a precious and adored son of parents Andrew and Helen, cherished brother of Jess and loving grandson of Richard and Julie, and Sheila.
“You were special to so many, (who) knew that under that tough guy act was the warmest, most caring and loving soul we were all so lucky to know,” family wrote.
“The brightest smile and a cheeky, genuine nature that we’ll spend the rest of our lives missing.”
The Olympic Dam Sporting Club also paid tribute to Jordan, who played 98 games during his time at the club.
Fellow motorcyclist Reece Formosa, 34, was a close friend for seven years and said he eventually became a mentor figure to Jordan.
After Jordan’s death, Mr Formosa said he “loved his job” as an electrician and was “doing really well” in his studies when he recently found out his partner was pregnant.
He said Jordan told him he was “a changed man”.
“I remembered the smile on his face, it’s like he completed his journey,” Mr Formosa said.
“We were talking three or four times a week about dad duties, what it’s like, what do you do here or there.
“He went through some seriously hard times over the last few years … but he was the most resilient, loyal dude, he always pushed through.”
Mr Formosa said alongside his motorcycle, Jordan loved boxing and was an “all-rounder in everything”.
“He was just one of those kids who when you meet him, you just can’t dislike him … He just got along with everybody, there was nobody in the world who hated him,” he said.
“He would just crack you up … Telling us stories about the things he got up to with his friends would just have us in stitches.
“He was the guy who could draw the attention of everyone in the room.”
