Noarlunga residents will soon have access to a “bigger and better” Bunnings, as the hardware giant reveals its plans for a new grand opening.

Featuring an 1400 sqm more retail space than the suburb’s old store, alongside 60 extra carparks, the new-look Bunnings comes after a $37m investment from the company.

“Our team have been working tirelessly over the past few months getting everything ready to open the doors to our brand-new warehouse,” Bunnings Noarlunga Complex Manager Sonny Papst said.

Forty one new team members will join the existing employees on the new 12,500 sqm site that will feature a five-lane drive-through trade and timber yard, dedicated special orders desk, kitchen design centre, kids playground, cafe, and more.

Having already been in the Noarlunga community for over 24 years, the new store replaces the existing site at Goldsmith Drive and Jackson Place.

“We know locals are really excited about the bigger and better store and we can’t wait to welcome them inside and show them what we have to offer,” Mr Papst said.

“We’ve been a part of the Noarlunga community for over two decades and look forward to continuing to provide the best experience every day.”

Part of the store opening celebrations have seen Bunnings Noarlunga team deployed for “hands on support” for local community groups in gardening, landscaping, and painting projects at the Noarlunga Hospital Emergency Department, the Trevor Parry Community Rehabilitation Centre, and the local ‘Transition to Home’ NDIS centre.

Bunnings says the new store will include LED lighting, energy efficient heating and cooling, on-site water reuse, and solar panels to reduce its environmental impact despite expanding.
