A talented executive head chef, fresh from the Whitsundays will be spicing up the menu at a popular, Eyre Peninsula winery’s stunning restaurant.
Port Lincoln’s Peter Teakle Wines has appointed a new executive head chef for their restaurant, Line & Label.
Mark Jensen now heads the kitchen as the restaurant prepares to reopen after their winter break with a new, Asian-inspired menu.
Drawn to Port Lincoln by its legendary seafood reputation, Jensen emphasises that local produce will dominate the menu and amplify the “elegant dining” experience.
“Being a passionate chef, who loves my seafood, Port Lincoln’s a real bounty” Mr Jensen said.
The team has been working on rebuilding their herb and vegetable gardens during their two-month long closure, with the goal of becoming fully self-sufficient in the months to come.
Mr Jensen says the recent Covid-19 lockdown has only granted his excited team more time to “rejuvenate, reflect and recharge” as they approach their season reopening on July 30.
Line & Label will also play home to monthly theme dinners with the first edition, Taste of Thai, scheduled for August 26.
