Police searching for man after random assault of woman in Salisbury North

Police are searching for a man aged in his 20s after a woman was randomly assaulted in a Salisbury North street.

Police are hunting for a suspect after a woman was assaulted while walking in Salisbury North on Saturday afternoon.

Police say the woman was walking toward the corner of Farley Grove and Rolleston Ave when a man unknown to her approached.

The man then followed her for a short time before the alleged assault. He was then sited walking east along Odstock St.

Police say the suspect is described as being aged in his early 20s, of Aboriginal appearance, with curly hair, patchy facial hair, of a slim build and average height.

The man was also wearing a blue polo shirt with grey or white stripes and was in possession of a scooter.

Police urge anyone who may have seen the man or woman in the area at that time, as well as those who might have dashcam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
