Salisbury man, 30, and Ingle Farm woman, 26, arrested for wild police chase in northern suburbs
Police road spikes were used during a car chase through the northern suburbs overnight – with the driver and passenger both arrested.

A Salisbury man allegedly driving illegally has been arrested, along with his passenger, after taking police on a wild pursuit in the northern suburbs overnight.
Police noticed a Ford sedan on Midway Rd about 11.45pm on Friday with stolen number plates.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but gave pursuit when the driver allegedly refused to pull over, before Polair took over the chase.
The car was tracked on Broadmeadows Rd and into the backstreets of Smithfield, before heading west on Curtis Rd towards the Northern Expressway.
Police set up road spikes on Headslip Rd and managed to pierce the car’s tyres, but the vehicle continued on to the Salisbury area.
Shortly after, the driver and passenger abandoned the car on Rolleston Ave, Salisbury North.
Police said they attempted to flee the scene, but were quickly cornered in a nearby yard and arrested.
The 30-year-old driver was charged with driving to escape police pursuit, driving unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured, and driving with unassigned plates.
His passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Ingle Farm, was charged with unlawful possession, failing to truly answer and on an outstanding warrant.
Both were bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on August 16.
