Mark Andreoni pleaded guilty to gun and drugs offences, charged alongside girlfriend Amy Hedges

A gun-wielding dealer who pleaded guilty to trafficking meth and MDMA left court with his overjoyed girlfriend after a lucky break reunited the pair.

A drug dealer’s girlfriend has left court with a spring in her step after a magistrate allowed the couple to reunite for the first time in six months.

Mark Scott Andreoni, 36, can now have contact with his long-term partner, Amy Louise Hedges, 33, who is also facing drug-related charges.

Andreoni pleaded guilty in the Adelaide Magistrates Court this week to trafficking methamphetamine and MDMA.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm, namely an unregistered gel blaster.

Nick Vadasz, for Andreoni, said his client would be pleading not guilty to two further counts of money laundering.

Ms Hedges, of Elizabeth Grove, is yet to enter a plea to her drug trafficking charge.

She smiled and waved as the couple left court together on Wednesday.

During Ms Hedges’ bail application in April, the court heard she was lying on the couch when police raided Andreoni’s Fairview Park home on March 2.

The court heard drugs and money were allegedly found in a tin in Andreoni’s bedroom, as well as gel blasters.

“One (gel blaster) was taped or hidden behind the bed in the co-accused’s bedroom and I think the other one was in that bedroom as well somewhere,” Timothy Clarke, for Ms Hedges, said at the time.

Mr Clarke said other drug-related items were found in the lounge room, including ice pipes.

“The door was opened by my client’s co-accused’s mother … she seems to have as much criminal liability as my client, given that my client’s only involvement appears to be lying on the couch asleep in the lounge room,” he said.

Magistrate Simon Smart released Ms Hedges on home-detention bail and warned her not to use illicit substances.

At the time, a prosecutor asked for a bail condition that Ms Hedges and Andreoni not have contact with each other – which was granted by the court.

In court on Wednesday, Nick Vadasz, for Andreoni, asked for the condition to be removed.

“They were living together at the time of this arrest,” he said.

“They have been in a relationship for many, many years … bearing in mind that 14th of February (Valentine’s Day) is looming.”

Magistrate Karim Soetratma removed the condition and adjourned the couple’s charges until January.
