A man accused of being involved in a Main North Road daylight shooting has asked to be bailed to two different homes with alleged bikie links but says he has no association with outlaw motorcycle gangs.
Andrew James Goulding, 48, applied for bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court last week, charged with aggravated affray and possessing a firearm without a licence.
Magistrate Karim Soetratma heard windows were smashed and a person injured before feuding groups sparked a wild car chase and shootout on the busy northern suburbs main road.
Goulding returned on Tuesday after a home detention report was ordered.
Magistrate Soetratma said he found the two addresses he had provided to the court were not suitable.
“I’ve read the home detention inquiry report, I’m not prepared to grant bail to that address,” Mr Soetratma said.
“I maintain what I said before, I am prepared to grant you home detention bail to a suitable address.
“Mr Goulding you have to understand, I don’t know if you’re a member or associate with a motorcycle club but in the circumstances of the offence with which you are charged I would not be granting you bail to a place that’s associated with a club.”
Mr Goulding said he was not associated with a motorcycle club and neither were the addresses.
“It’s (the property) not associated and neither am I your honour,” he said.
The matter was adjourned for a home detention report with Mr Goulding expected back in court later this month.
