Stephen ‘Stevross’ Isaacson: Mount Gambier mourns South Indians Baseball Club player killed in crash
The Mount Gambier man has been remembered for his cheeky personality and his infectious smile after he was hit by a car on Thursday.

A regional baseball player has been remembered as a loyal friend and teammate and “the life of every party” after he was hit by a car near Mount Gambier.
Stephen Isaacson, 37, died following the accident on Glenelg River Rd near Yahl Hall Rd, at OB Flat, about 5.40pm on Thursday night.
Affectionately known as “Stevross”, he wore number 32 for the South Indians Baseball Club.
In a statement, the club said his impact was profound.
“Our hearts are breaking ... this morning to hear of the loss of our great friend and teammate Stephen “Stevross” Isaacson,” it said.
“You brought so much energy to every game and were the life of every party.
“With a heart of gold, you were always there for anyone that needed you.
“Our love and deepest condolences go out to (your) family at this hard time.
“Words can't explain how much Stevross will be missed around the club – forever in our hearts.”
One friend wrote on social media: “Heartbroken. Stevross always making me smile with his cheekiness. The world is a much sadder place without him in it.” Another friend said: “Stevross your infectious smile and energy will be missed my friend. You were a great teammate but more than that you were a great mate.”
The South Indians said: “(He was a) loyal friend to many in the club and within the wider baseball community of Mount Gambier.”
Mr Isaacson played 77 games as a junior with the Indians before moving to the Federals Baseball Club.
He returned to his original club in 2016, playing 95 senior games.
“Stevross soon became a valued player, playing division 1 at centre field,” the Indians said.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
