Two brothers accused of breaking into a Mount Gambier property and were caught mid-theft have had their bail revoked.
Matthew Keith Constantine, 32, and Brendan Ray Constantine, 35, appeared before the Mount Gambier Magistrate Court on Monday afternoon charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.
The pair were arrested after police responded to reports of a speeding vehicle with no number plates which then stopped in the rear yard of a property on Lumidin Boulevard at 10.50am on December 31, 2020.
It is alleged when police arrived they saw three men standing next to a BMW sedan.
The group then fled with one man hiding out on the roof of a nearby house.
Police investigations allegedly discovered the men were in the process of stealing from the shed at the address.
With the assistance of the public, the three Victorian men were located and arrested but only two have been formally charged.
The vehicle has also been seized.
The pair will return to court in February.
