BUDDY has hopes of being in a new home by Christmas – but for now is just looking forward to the SA Dog Rescue Christmas Bash to be held in Prospect’s St Helen’s Park on Sunday.
The two-year-old staffordshire terrier-cross is being looked after by SA Dog Rescue volunteer Lisa Porcaro in the meantime.
“He’s just a really gentle dog,” Miss Porcaro, 33, of Flagstaff Hill, says.
Buddy was surrendered at Victor Harbor and was only a day away from being put down when SA Dog Rescue took him on.
The free Christmas Bash includes stalls, barbecues, drinks, dog competitions, Santa photos, a treasure trail, merchandise, dog and cat adoption information, dog grooming and discounted vaccination and microchipping.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
