One of four facing charges for her role in an alleged attempted murder granted home detention bail

Ten days after being told she would be behind bars on remand until at least May, a 22-year-old woman arrested as part of an alleged attempted murder investigation has been bailed.

The young female alleged getaway driver, charged after an investigation into an alleged attempted murder at Royal Park, has been allowed to return to her home.

Tiana Zenari was arrested on January 30 and charged with allegedly aiding and abetting attempted murder and failing to answer questions over the Royal Park shooting 13 days prior.

The 22-year-old West Lakes hotel worker made a bail application at the time from remand, where she appeared in an Oodie.

In a failed bail application, her lawyer Danni Stephens told the court her employment was at risk if she was not released.

However, SA Supreme Court Justice Sandi McDonald on Thursday overturned that decision, allowing Ms Zenari out of remand and onto home detention.

In a brief hearing, prosecutor Laura Crase told the court she was not opposed to home detention bail.

Ms Zenari’s tender age and lack of criminal history, Ms Stephens said, worked in her favour.

Previously, the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court heard Ms Zenari had breached a bail agreement five times while she was “in the throes of drug addiction” which she had since kicked.

At that time, Ms Stephens told Magistrate Luke Davis Ms Zenari’s family had to call in sick to work for her because she was behind bars.

She also said she would miss out on starting a TAFE course, of which part of her application she had completed while at large.

A police prosecutor told the court Ms Zenari, of Gawler West, had allegedly been waiting in her car near shooting victim John Gabby Rahme’s Royal Park workshop and “drove the vehicle from the scene”.

The prosecutor told the court her boyfriend Kurt Kernahan and two other men, Troy Trengove and Tyrone Doyle-Tarrant, had allegedly carried out roles in the shooting of Mr Rahme before fleeing to Ms Zenari’s car.

Justice McDonald released Ms Zenari on home detention bail with a $500 guarantee.

The other three men remain behind bars on remand.

All four will next face court in May.
