‘I was blatantly lied to’: Pip Edwards slams Michael Clarke after cheating claims

Pip Edwards has lashed out at ex-boyfriend Michael Clarke after he was sensationally accused of cheating in a public fight with his current partner.

The blows keep coming for Michael Clarke.

The disgraced former Australian cricket captain is reeling from the release of a video showing him in a wild and very public fight with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough — and now his ex has stuck the boot in.

Pip Edwards, who dated Clarke from mid-2020 to late-2021, was embroiled in the mess when Jade appeared to accuse him of cheating.

It’s understood Pip and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade.

“You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog,” Jade screams.

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

Pip is not denying Jade’s claims — and has instead taken a swipe at the 41-year-old ex-cricketer.

“This is not my circus,” Pip said in a statement. “Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.”

Today show host Karl Stefanovic was also involved in the wild fracas in a public park, which saw Clarke slapped across the face by his girlfriend and accused of cheating.

The extraordinary showdown in Noosa on January 10 saw two of Australia’s most high profile celebrities and their partners — sisters Jade and Jasmine Yarbrough — in an emotionally charged blow-up, which was filmed by a bystander and obtained by The Daily Telegraph.

Clarke told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night: “I accept full responsibility for this altercation and am shattered by my actions”.

The fight began when the two high-profile couples and their celebrity accountant mate Anthony Bell were at dinner at a beachside restaurant.

Incredible vision shows a shirtless Clarke limping in a park surrounded by a group who are trying to calm the situation, while a furious Jade screams at him then slaps him across the face.

The screaming match took place in front of multiple people in a park, about 9.30pm, and was so confronting that an onlooker could be heard yelling “there’s children over there” as they encouraged the group to take the fight elsewhere.

The bystander who filmed the fight said he was first alerted to the drama when he spotted Clarke and Stefanovic in a heated exchange.

Clarke and Yarbrough first went Instagram official in August and were seen together in paparazzi photos in September out the front of morning TV host Karl Stefanovic’s house.

Yarbrough’s sister Jasmine Stefanovic is married to the Today show star and they were all together to watch the AFL Grand Final.

The cricket TV commentator-turned breakfast radio host was reportedly introduced to Yarbrough through Stefanovic.

Their relationship came eight months after Clarke’s brief romance with Edwards, who he dated after splitting from wife Kyly.

Clarke, 41, is also close mates with Yarbrough’s business partner’s husband, Travy Bacon.

Yarbrough, who runs a successful interiors company named Merci Maison, celebrated her 30th birthday last year.

Clarke and his first wife Kyly share one child together, daughter Kelsey-Lee.

The former couple went to school together at Sydney’s Westfields Sports High, but didn’t start dating until many years later, after Clarke’s engagement with Lara Worthington was broken off in 2010.
