Michael Clarke has made headlines for all the wrong reasons after he was slapped across the face by his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough and accused of cheating - which he denies - in a clash caught on camera.

But it’s not the first time the former cricket sensation’s love life has played out in the media.

Clarke and his former partner Lara Bingle were once the ‘Posh and Becks’ of Australia after their love affair blossomed in 2007.

The cricketer and model met on the set of Dancing on Ice, before getting engaged the next year in New York.

Clarke was so loved-up with Bingle that he even got her initials tattooed on his shoulder, but it wasn’t long before the cracks in their relationship started to show.

The sports star upset team mate Simon Katich after apparently trying to rush through post-match celebrations so he could get home to Bingle.

Katich was said to have been so infuriated that he grabbed Clarke by the throat.

Clarke and Bingle split in 2010, not long after a photo taken by AFL star Brendan Fevola showing the model in the shower was leaked.

Bingle’s $200,000 engagement ring was rumoured to have been flushed down the toilet of their home after their split.

She would later say that splitting from Clarke was “the best thing” she ever did.

Michael Clarke and Kyly married in 2012, but later separated

Clarke found love again, marrying Kyly Boldy in the Blue Mountains in 2012.

The former couple went to school together at Sydney’s Westfields Sports High, but didn’t start dating until many years later.

They welcomed daughter Kelsey Lee in 2015.

Kyly vowed that the pair would never break up, but sadly they ended up separating towards the end of 2019.

“After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to ­separate as a couple, amicably,” Clarke and Kyly said in a joint statement when they split.

That news was confirmed at the start of 2020, not long before Clarke was seen getting close to fashion designer and long-time friend Pip Edwards.

For several weeks, Clarke and Edwards denied they were an item, but it became clear by June 2020 that they were in fact together.

They parted ways in February 2021 but briefly rekindled their relationship a few months later, only for that to fizzle out by the end of the year.

Clarke then went Instagram official with Jade Yarbrough, the sister of Karl Stefanovic’s wife Jasmine, in August last year.

Clarke appeared in a number of photos on Jade’s Instagram story from a holiday in Italy, one with his arm around the 30-year-old.

Clarke is also close mates with Jade’s business partner’s husband, Travy Bacon.

The cricket TV commentator-turned breakfast radio host was reportedly introduced to Yarbrough through Stefanovic.

A video published by The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night shows Jade slapping Clarke across the face amid accusations of cheating.

It’s understood his ex Edwards and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade in Noosa.

Incredible vision shows a shirtless Clarke limping in a park surrounded by a group who are trying to calm the situation, while a furious Jade screams at him then slaps him across the face.

The astonishing fracas was caught on camera

“You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog,” Jade screams.

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

He adds: “I swear on my life, I swear at my life … That’s not true, it’s not true.”

The screaming match took place in front of multiple people in a park, about 9.30pm, and was so confronting that an onlooker could be heard yelling “there’s children over there” as they encouraged the group to take the fight elsewhere.

The bystander who filmed the fight said he was first alerted to the drama when he spotted Clarke and Stefanovic in a heated exchange.
