People are just realising the major difference between Bluey and Muffin

“There are so many subtleties in this show and this one is my favourite,” a fan wrote.

By now, we all know that Bluey is far deeper than just a bunch of talking dogs.

It’s a show that resonates with adults as much as it does kids and offers insights into parenting and children.

And the show just keeps on giving, somehow providing endless nuggets of wisdom to those who look close enough.

"There are so many subtleties in this show"

A recent post in the Adult Bluey Fans Facebook group has highlighted one of the more overlooked lessons of the show - one that aims to prove that money isn’t everything.

A mum wrote, “I love how in the show you’re shown that Muffin’s house is more expensive and they live a more a more luxurious lifestyle. But they don’t comment on it at all, nor do you hear Bluey or Bingo complain that their cousins have nicer things.”

She then shared two screengrabs from the show, one that shows Muffin's family modern two-story home and another where Muffin is driving a sleek convertible while Bluey walks next to it.

She goes on to say that it’s a great reminder as we live “in a world where we constantly find ourselves comparing our lives to those on social media, family and friends.”

“There are so many subtleties in this show and this one is my favourite,” she concludes.

Why we love this lesson

Unlike many shows that might use this class difference as a plot point to create conflict or feelings of inadequacy, Bluey chooses a different path - and that’s why we love it.

There's no comment on the disparity, no envy from Bluey or Bingo towards their cousins, they just get on with life as it is.

This not only sets Bluey apart from other series but also sends an important message to viewers.

By not focusing on material differences, the show reminds us to focus on the important things in life, like family, playing and being a good person (or a good boi, for all the doggos watching.)
