A Vietnamese hotspot has announced its closure after seven years of providing Southeast Asian food to the northwestern suburbs of Adelaide.
Miss Viet Kitchen, on Commercial Road, shared the news “with a heavy heart” on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday night, with loyal customers quick to express their devastation.
“It’s been an incredible journey and we couldn’t have done it without your amazing support,” the post said.
“Thank you for making Miss Viet a part of your life. We hope to see you soon and share one last delicious meal together.”
The comments were flooded with patrons expressing their sadness.
“I think I need to order 10x my favourite menu items and pop them in the freezer so I can still get my fix,” one commenter wrote.
“Noooooo this is so sad best place ever,” another added, along with a crying face emoji.
The announcement did not provide a reason for the closure or a final date of operation, with the post stating that doors will close “soon”.
Miss Viet Kitchen opened in 2018 and prides itself “only using the freshest ingredients”.
The venue was awarded the silver award in the 2023 Restaurant and Catering National Awards for Best Vietnamese Restaurant and recently advertised their “mega seafood platters” as a “great” option for “Xmas parties and more”.
The business owners have been contacted for comment.
