A new cafe offering tapas-style small bites and healthy brunch options has launched in Semaphore.

Shelly’s Semaphore, on the Semaphore Esplanade, will also serve up cocktails, coffee, juices and smoothies, alongside an expansive children’s menu.

Replacing the much-loved Noonies At The Beach, the new kiosk will stay open until late and feature ‘Beachside Bites’, a tapas-style selection of light snacks available from 2.30pm.

Their range of seasonal dishes includes breakfast offerings such as acai bowls and granola, plus brunch options such as burgers, salads and eggs.

Owner James Sacca said he’s hopeful of creating a new dining “destination” on the Semaphore coastline.

“The concept was born from the desire to build on what the site has offered the community for many years. We wanted to expand it to service 365 days of the year, be inclusive to all demographics and provide a home for everyone,” he said.

“Shelly’s Kiosk has a comfortable dine-in option with views overlooking the ocean along with the surrounding green spaces and is a great place for families who can also use the nearby playground.

“I’m looking forward to offering the community and visitors an inclusive, casual place that is family-focused, with consistent high-quality meals, and a fun experience,” Mr Sacca said.
