The crew behind McLaren Vale’s Pizzateca is further expanding its One Sneaky Cheetah pizza chain with a fourth location in Adelaide’s northeastern suburbs.

Co-owners Tony Mitolo, Tim Anderson and Mark McInerney have announced they will launch a new site in Campbelltown Shopping Centre in early October, following on from their stores in Ridleyton, Melrose Park and Stepney.

The new shop is smaller than their first three locations but will continue to serve up their popular combination of Neapolitan-style pizzas – wood-fired and hand-stretched – with traditional Aussie toppings.

Mr Mitolo said their new Campbelltown site would be followed by another in Modbury North.

“This is the future of our pizza bars,” he said.

“We have three amazing flagship stores and we feel the addition of these smaller sites will complement our existing venues and give One Sneaky Cheetah more reach and accessibility.”

Sneaky’s latest pizza joint will have the same food and drinks menu, and feature a cosy interior with walnut, wood panelling, vinyl booths and stainless steel tops. There will also be outdoor dining area complete with umbrellas, festoon lighting and fresh greenery.

Campbelltown is also a special suburb for Mr Mitolo, whose grandfather opened one of the city’s first pizza bars there back in the 1960s.

“It’s an area that has some significant historical merit in the pizza industry,” he said.

“We are excited to bring our unique take on what pizza can be to the neighbourhood.”

It comes as Mr Mitolo forges ahead with the expansion of his McLaren Vale pizzeria, which includes a 250-seat function centre and an expanded carpark development.

Friends at McLaren Vale B&B and other neighbours of the Chalk Hill Rd business said local council ignored their opposition to the project, which has already been approved.

Work has started on the centre that will take the licensing capacity of Pizzateca up to 400 people.
