Adelaide-born global fitness icon Kayla Itsines has announced she is expecting her second child with new fiance.

Adelaide-born global fitness icon Kayla Itsines has announced she is pregnant with her second child.

The news comes a week after announcing her engagement to “best friend” Jae Woodroffe.

“Jae and I are so excited to grow our family,” Itsines, 31, told Women’s Health Australia.

“Family is such a big part of both of our lives, and I can’t wait to go through this experience with Jae watch him become a dad.”

Itsines, whose personal wealth is listed at $164m shares her first child, three-year-old Arna with former fiance Tobi Pearce.

“Arna is very excited to become a big sister,” Itsines said.

“She’s so smart and caring and I can’t wait for her to have a sibling. I feel really happy and am enjoying this pregnancy as much as I can, and I can’t wait to start sharing my pregnancy journey with the incredible community of women around me,” she said.

She added that her and Woodroffe had been open from the start of their relationship about their desire to expand their family.

“Family is so important to both Jae and I and we have both always wanted a big family,” she said.

“It’s something that we always talked about and we were so happy when we found out.”

Itsines’ rise to the top of the fitness industry began as a backyard personal trainer posting pictures to Instagram of her clients’ progress.

Around 2011, Itsines and Pearce developed a series of downloadable PDF guides that promoted exercise and healthy eating, known as the “Bikini Body Guide”.

In 2016, the pair made it to BRW’s Rich List with an estimated wealth of $46m.

Last year their company, rebranded Sweat, was sold to US software giant iFIT Health & Fitness for around $400m.

Itsines and Woodroffe are expecting their child in early 2023.
