Adelaide fitness queen Kayla Itsines has announced her engagement to beau Jae Woodroffe, six months after going public with her relationship.
Woodroffe shared the news to Instagram on Monday, captioning a photo of Itsines with her new ring, “When you know you know”.
The pair went public with their relationship in January, when Itsines, 31, posted a photo of her “best friend” Woodroffe to Instagram.
“Meet Jae everyone!” She captioned the happy snap to her almost 14 million followers.
“My best friend for years and now, partner. For all those people replying to my stories saying ‘You look really happy’ … thank you! I am.”
Car enthusiast Woodroffe is involved with SA Living Solutions, a not-for-profit organisation which provides accommodation for people in need.
From backyard personal trainer to one of the world’s most popular fitness influencers, Itsines has enjoyed a meteoric rise to global fame.
The fitness mogul, whose personal wealth is listed at $164m, and former fiance Tobi Pearce sold their fitness empire Sweat for about $400m to US software giant iFIT Health & Fitness last year.
But for some young women who were there from the start, Itsines’ successful ‘Bikini Body Guide’ came with a physical – and mental – cost.
Several young South Australian women say the Bikini Body Guide that made Itsines a social media sensation around a decade ago sparked a vicious cycle of dieting, bingeing and body obsession.
