Kyle Sandilands has reportedly been involved in a public spat with his rumoured new lover Tegan Kynaston.
The Sunday Telegraphreports the incident occurred this morning on Bondi’s Beach Road in Sydney’s eastern suburbs at about 7am, with onlookers calling police after Kynaston allegedly caused damage to the shock jock’s Bentley.
Kynaston, 33, allegedly assaulted one of the police officers who arrived after the 48-year-old KIIS FM host asked an onlooker to call triple-0.
The pair are rumoured to be sharing a romance after Sandilands announced the end of his eight year relationship with Imogen Anthony last month.
Police said Kynaston — who works as a communications director for the radio host — was arrested and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital to be mentally evaluated.

“On arrival officers found a woman who was visibly distressed with a man who was driving a car,” New South Wales Police said in a statement.
“While speaking with the woman it will be alleged in court she assaulted one of the officers before being taken to hospital for a mental health assessment. The man was spoken to by police and left the area soon after. The woman will be issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for assaulting police.”
Sandilands’ final radio show for the year was yesterday.
Rumours of Sandilands’ relationship with Kynaston began after the pair were photographed enjoying dinner together in Los Angeles just days after he announced his split from Anthony.
The radio announcer shocked listeners when he abruptly announced the break-up on-air.
“We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course,” he said.
Sandilands said he wouldn’t be going into detail about the break-up but reiterated that the couple had not lived together for “quite some time”.
“That’s just the way it is. No problems there, but … you know how it is,” he said.
A rep for Sandilands has rubbished claims the host is in a new relationship with Kynaston, labelling the rumours “fabricated garbage”.
“It’s utterly ridiculous,” the star’s manager Bruno Bouchet told Daily Mail Australia.
