Imogen Anthony finally addresses break up with Kyle Sandilands

The model ex-girlfriend of radio host Kyle Sandilands has opened up about the couple’s shock break-up in a candid Instagram video.

Imogen Anthony has broken her silence on her break-up with Kyle Sandilands, sharing that it “may not be the end” for the couple of almost a decade.

Addressing Sandilands’ on-air revelation this week that the couple were no longer living together, the model posted a candid Instagram video for her 159,000 followers.

It came as she had chased a reporter away, after they had driven onto her property to “ask if she was OK”.

“I’m fine, don’t trespass onto our property,” Anthony said.

She then reluctantly gave her side of the story after admitting she was “agitated” by rampant speculation, adding that it was “none of anybody’s business”.

“I will leave you all with this,” she said.

“We still love each other very much, we speak every day, we still see each other, we do things with each other, we share the farm, we share this fat lump of a dog plus the other ones,” she said, describing the relationship as being in a “grey area”.

“There’s so much more to it than what people just see for black and white. There is such a grey area here. But in saying that as well, we didn’t want to kind of … have everyone think something differently when we’re not those kinds of people,” she said.

“We have a lot to deal with separately,” she said, explaining it had been one of the “hardest” years for both of them.

“We just kind of wanted to get ourselves into the best form of ourselves we can be without pissing in each other’s pockets.”

“It’s sad …” she said, careful with her words as she concluded that she wasn’t sure if it was definitely the end.

“It’s also … the end … may not be the end … the end may not be nigh, but at the same token … I dunno.”

Her emotional video comes after Sandilands announced the split on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday.

“A lot people have been hitting us up on social media, a few media enquiries, about my relationship status,” a downbeat-sounding Sandilands said.

“We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course.”

“So here we all are in the same boat,” he told Jackie O. “I’m single, you are, Intern Pete is. What a sad bunch of people.

“Just when you start to think everything’s good …”

Sandilands said he wouldn’t be going into detail about the break-up but reiterated that the couple had not lived together for “quite some time”.

“That’s just the way it is. No problems there, but … you know how it is,” he said.
