Will Pete Mann win the heart of Becky Miles? Pete – the owner of Octeine Coffee and former husband of Channel 10 Adelaide and Melbourne weather presenter Kate Freebairn – is the only remaining SA contestant on The Bachelorette. He’s also one of Becky’s final two after she bid farewell to Shannon Karaka after his hometown visit.
Love could be on the horizon because we are pleased to report that Becky didn’t say “On yer bike!” to Pete on Thursday’s episode.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, Becky and Pete were unable to make the trip to Adelaide for his hometown visit, but they still had a great time.
They enjoyed a romantic bicycle ride and picnic and chatted to some of the important people in Pete’s life by video conference.
They were friends of Pete’s – two couples – and Becky loved meeting them.
Throughout his time on the show, Pete’s been a total gentleman and has formed a bond with Becky.
He’s told her about his heartbreak over the end of his long-term relationship but that he’s ready to love once again.
“It’s a great opportunity for people who want to put themselves out there,” Pete recently told Confidential of his experience on The Bachelorette, adding: “I never thought that I would go on a reality TV show.”
Asked if he was currently single Pete gave a cryptic “I can’t (say). You’ll just have to watch the show.”
With Shannon now out of the running, Pete and Sydney’s Adrien Baena – whose hometown visit is yet to screen – are the two men who will be hoping to win Becky’s heart in The Bachelorette finale.
