An unknown Murray Bridge teen is officially the “new hot face” of the international modelling scene.
With his red corkscrew curls, Kane Parker, 16, has made his runway debut walking exclusively for big name Prada at Milan Fashion Week.
The Murray Bridge High School Year 11 student had his mum Lisa Parker backstage with him as he prepped for the show on Sunday night (SA time), which she also watched.
“Prada’s live-streaming the event … check it out if you want to see me fall over,” he quipped in the lead up to the show.
Kane is represented by Finesse Models Australia.
The Adelaide agency’s director Brigette Mitchell is a star maker; supermodels Lily Nova and Akiima, who appeared together in a global campaign for make-up brand MAC, are also on her books.
“Kane has an ‘international look’,” Ms Mitchell said, adding that the modelling world was abuzz: “He seems to be the ‘new hot face’.”
Kane has previously modelled in Korea and in a rock’n’roll-inpsired runway show Ms Mitchell staged in Adelaide.
For that appearance he was transformed into icon David Bowie.
