Controversial western Sydney rap group OneFour has responded to one of its members being arrested by releasing a new music video.

Last week, Salec Sua was arrested in relation to a number of clashes between street gangs in northwest Sydney.

The 25-year-old, who was charged with a riot offence, did not apply for bail and will remain behind bars. No other band member has been arrested.

Despite his temporary departure, OneFour released a video for their track, Ladz in the Hood, yesterday.

In the second verse, Sua, who goes by the rap name of Lekks14, sings about freedom.

“Freedom ain’t lost, this beefin won’t stop yeah. We be on top, I don’t think they understood,” he rapped.

“What’s good, what’s good, what’s goodie and come on by this, ain’t war we bullies.”

The video clip has already garnered more than 150,000 views on Youtube.

Following their previous music videos, the film centres around the group’s home in Mt Druitt.

Young men wearing Adidas and Nike tracksuits strut around the western Sydney streets carrying designer bum bags while rapping at the camera.

There are numerous fictitious references to criminal activity with one man seen holding replica drug paraphernalia and another lying handcuffed on the road next to a knife.

“We some lads in the hood, raised in that 27. Always up to no good,” they rap.

They are heralded as the first Drill rap group in Australia, a genre of music with its roots in Chicago and London.

The rap group has no affiliation with the western Sydney gang of the same name.
