A Sydney rapper and alleged member of street gang OneFour has been charged with being part of a violent brawl at a western Sydney pub.
Salec Sua, who police claim is also part of rap group OneFour, was arrested by Strike Force Imbara yesterday which was set up in July to investigate a number of alleged clashes between street gangs and low level criminal networks connected to gangs in northwest Sydney.
The strike force was concentrating on a number of groups which are heavily into the rap culture of American gangs.
Sua, 25, will appear in Mount Druitt Court today charged with on count of involvement in a riot.
Police allege he was part of two groups of men on July 10 that were allegedly involved in a violent clash outside a hotel on Mount Druitt Road at Mount Druitt. It is alleged many of those involved were armed with weapons.
Apart from his alleged gang activities, Police also claim that Sua is part of rap group OneFour which is also based in western Sydney. The rap group has no affiliation with the gang.
It’s heralded as the first Drill rap group in Australia, a genre of music with its roots in Chicago and London.
