TAYLOR Swift will skip Adelaide during the Australian leg of her upcoming stadium tour — but a South Australian show may be added to the superstar’s schedule.
The American singer-songwriter announced her touring dates earlier on Monday morning, much to the disappointment of Adelaide fans.
She will kick off the Australian leg at the Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19 followed by Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, on October 26, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, on November 2 and The Gabba, Brisbane, on November 6.
@taylorswift13 really disappointed to see that you aren't coming to Adelaide on your Australian tour. You played 2 sell out shows here last time. ð

Not that I would want to see her, but I wonder if artists like Taylor Swift realise Adelaide does have a 55,000 capacity stadium that music can be played at

There is no concert scheduled for Adelaide, but with plenty of days between gigs and demand for tickets expected to sell out the initial run quickly, fans are hoping for extra dates to be added to the Australian leg.
It raises the possibility of a South Australian show.
Swift sold out two shows in Adelaide during her 1989 World Tour, which was the highest grossing concert event in 2015, raking in more than $250 million.
MP Tammy Franks was one of several Twitter users to express their disappointment following the announcement.
Dear @taylorswift13 the old Adelaide can't come to the phone right now because we're dying... for you to play here. Chuck us a lifeline?

Swift is certainly not the first big act to snub Adelaide — Sir Paul McCartney is in Australia at the moment but will only play in the four biggest cities.
Even Adelaide’s biggest export, Sia, didn’t do a hometown show after touring this year while Coldplay and Eminem have also skipped Adelaide in previous years.
