New curator named for 2022 Adelaide Biennial exhibition
A new curator has been named for the 2022 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art exhibition, as attendance figures for this year’s event were released.

National Art School creative producer Sebastian Goldspink has been named as curator for the 2022 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, the visual arts centrepiece of the Adelaide Festival.
A descendant of the Burramattagal people of western Sydney, Sebastian also is founder of ALASKA Projects which has showcased 500 artists across 150 exhibitions.
More than 270,000 peopled visited this year’s Biennial exhibition, Monster Theatres, which ended at the Art Gallery and Botanic Garden on August 2, while 95,000 engaged with it online.
“I relish the platform to bring stories to people and to share artists’ vision and work,” Sebastian said.
“The opportunity to be able to work with the AGSA team on a platform of this scale, scope and history of the Adelaide Biennial is a privilege.”
