Topping the charts isn’t Samantha Jade’s top priority anymore.
After more than a decade in the industry, the former X Factor winner said she places a greater emphasis on pleasing her fans, rather than the industry.
“I have to say, I have definitely let go of checking and refreshing the charts all the time,” Jade told The Sunday Telegraph.

“It is not about that.
“Of course you are always nervous and you always want everything you do to be well received and you want to be loved by your industry and peers, but you also just want the people that love your music and the people who have stuck by you to love you and what you are doing. That is much more important for me these days.”
Jade, who has released two albums within just 11 months — Best of My Love and The Magic of Christmas — describes the achievement as “wild”.
“I think it is rare to have two albums out in this day and age, so it is really humbling and nice to be able to say, I have two records out,” she said.
“This is my fourth album now, so it is pretty amazing.”
The 31-year-old had a revelation while recording the Christmas album.
“They print the lyrics out for you for some of the songs and I was like oh my gosh, I have made up my own words for so many of these songs for so many years,” she said.
“I have to retrain myself to learn them correctly. But I just love carols. Carols really reflect this beautiful time of the year.
“My favourite carol this year is I’ll be Home for Christmas.
“I haven’t been home for a while and am this year, so that one is very special.”
