POP star Samantha Jade is pumped to be releasing her latest record.
The singer opened up to Stellar about continuing her career after the death of her mother, Jacqui.
“It was a scary place to be, just five years after X Factor,” Jade said.
“This isn’t a project, it’s my life.
“It’s hard not to bring Mum into this; I missed her guidance.
“She was the person I always went to, to talk things through.”

Jade’s latest album, the disco-tinged Best Of My Love, is a reminder of her mother, who was a huge fan of the genre.
“We used to have little parties for her every week [when she was sick] and the first week someone brought her a little disco ball,” Jade said.
“It was the only hospital room with a disco ball.
“It became more than a symbol of fun to me, it was an escape for her.”
Best Of My Love is out next Friday.
