Hit107’s new-look breakfast show with Rebecca Morse and Andrew “Cosi” Costello is already paying dividends with the duo securing the equal biggest listener increase in the Adelaide brekkie timeslot, according to the first radio ratings survey of the year.
Local Channel 10 newsreader Rebecca and the South Aussie with Cosi TV host, Cosi — who started together on-air on January 21 — picked up 1.9 points to finish with 9.7, hot on the heels of Nova 919’s Dylan Lewis and Hayley Pearson, who are in fourth spot in the crucial breakfast timeslot.
But they’re still well behind new frontrunners Mix 102.3’s Mark Soderstrom and Jodie Oddy, who enjoyed a 0.5 point gain off the back of their 52-hour Fringe ferris wheel challenge last month, which raised $200,000 for the Flinders Foundation.
Soderstrom and Oddy join ABC 891’s Ali Clarke — who fell 1.1 points — on 13.3 in the top spot, ahead of FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings, who slipped a point to 12.4 and into third place.
David and Will dominated breakfast in 2018, winning four out of the eight surveys and recording their highest ever result of 15.6 in survey six.
Mix 102.3 maintained its grasp as the overall market leader with a 13.3 share after a slight 0.4 gain, but Nova is closing on 11.2 points.
