Peter Goers’ ABC evening shift wins biggest rise in second Adelaide radio ratings survey for 2019

The ABC’s Ali Clarke and Peter Goers have reason to celebrate after the second Adelaide radio survey for 2019. But while Goers has surged, he’s not at the top in the evening slot.

Peter Goers moved back into second place in Adelaide’s evening radio slot.

Outspoken Sunday Mail columnist Peter Goers scored the biggest rise in the second Adelaide radio ratings survey for this year, up a whopping 2.3 points to move into second place for the evening shift.

Goers’ ABC Adelaide show leapfrogged over Nova 919’s Smallzy’s Surgery, which dropped 1.1 to 11.6, and is now three points behind evening leader FIVEaa’s Jeremy Cordeaux on 15.5, down 0.2.

Buoyed by rises in all shifts except evenings, Mix 102.3 increased its overall lead, up 0.6 points to a 13.9 per cent share.

On the AM dial, ABC Adelaide rose 0.8 points to a 10.2 share, increasing its lead over Cruise1323, which rose 0.5 to 9.1, and FIVEaa, which fell 0.3 to 9 per cent and third place.

However, Cruise’s Mark Elliston (up 0.8 to 8.8) overtook the top AM drive spot from FIVEaa’s Rowey & Bicks (down 0.6 to 7.7).

ABC Adelaide’s Ali Clarke gained 1.4 points to reclaim the breakfast crown with 14.7, while Mix 102.3’s Mark Soderstrum and Jodie Oddy also rose 0.2 but could only manage second spot with 13.5 after tying with Clark in the previous survey.

Hit 107’s new brekky combo of Rebecca Morse and Andrew “Cosi” Costello dropped off slightly from their impressive start in the year’s first survey, down 0.4 to 9.3, slipping to sixth spot.

Drive time continues to thwart Mix, with Will & Woody fairly steady on 12.7 (up 0.1) but still behind Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty at 13.1 (down 0.4).
