Channel 7 has revamped its weekend lifestyle show, expanding its focus beyond travel to include home, cooking, gardening, and budgeting tips.
Seven’s new-look Discover will debut on Saturday afternoon, with a Better Homes and Gardens feel designed to help viewers “survive and thrive in a tough economic climate”.
Formerly known as Discover with RAA Travel, the show will again be hosted by Kelly Golding and will also feature celebrity chef Callum Hann, Teigan Nash and new presenter, gardening expert Brenton Roberts.
Golding said the station’s latest lifestyle show – following on from SA Weekender, SA Life and the original Discover in the early 2000s – will bring some “fresh ideas into your life each Saturday”.
“If you’re in need of a holiday, or some budgeting tips to save money for a holiday, we will have you covered on Discover,” she said.
Executive producer Traci Ayris said they’re hoping to provide plenty of inspiration to their viewers.
“Our presenters are all experts in their fields and we’re having a lot of fun putting this series together. Brenton and Teigan have brought a fresh approach to our travel and home segments,” she said.
“I have worked closely with Kelly and Callum on previous lifestyle shows here at Seven, so, together with our great behind the scenes team, it’s a bit like getting the band back together.”
Saturday’s opening episode features Nash exploring Virgin Voyages’ floating city, while Hann will whip up a tasty Italian risotto using SA cheese. Roberts will check out a unique Adelaide Hills winter garden and Golding will share tips on how to create a budget to manage your personal finances.
