This young star played a shy wallflower in a smash-hit movie franchise, but now she’s all grown up - and seriously ripped.

In smash-hit movie The Hunger Games, she played a shy wallflower who needed protecting.

But 12 years on from the blockbuster, Willow Shields – who played Primrose Everdeen – looks like she could take down her on-screen sister Katniss.

Willow shot to fame at the age of 11 as the beloved little sister of Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, in the film adaptation of the best-selling book series.

She appeared in all four films in The Hunger Games franchise from 2012 to 2015.

In the films, young Prim is initially chosen for the barbaric fight-to-the-death Hunger Games in a ballot at her home in District 12, prompting her older sister to volunteer to take her place.

As Katniss later becomes the face of a revolution, Prim becomes a nurse for those hurt in the fight for freedom.

Now 24, Willow has taken to the gym and picked up climbing as a hobby.

Clearly proud of her muscled physique, Willow often shows off her figure online, with defined calf muscles and a toned tummy.

Recently, the star shared snaps of herself in a bikini during a getaway in Santa Fe, New Mexico to celebrate her birthday along with a friend.

“Magical stay at @cieloaltosantafe for Autumn and I’s Birthday weekend,” she wrote on Instagram.

The former child star celebrated her 24th birthday in New Mexico last week.

Completely unrecognisable from her years in the movie franchise, Willow has cut her hair into a sharp, wavy bob and dyed her blonde hair a chocolate brown.

In the years since appearing on The Hunger Games, Willow has appeared in a string of films and TV shows.

Shields now wears her hair in a wavy, chocolate brown bob.

In 2015, she became the youngest ever celebrity to compete on Dancing With The Stars, teaming up with Mark Ballas and coming in seventh place after a shock elimination.

In 2019, she starred in TV drama The Unsettling, and in 2020, she appeared on Netflix’s ice-skating drama, Spinning Out.

Willow also has a prominent social media presence, with almost 900,000 followers on Instagram keeping up to date with her goings on.

A separate account tracks what she’s been reading, giving her reviews as she goes along.

Willow used the platform to come out as bisexual in 2022, happily waving the pride flag behind her in the photo with the caption: “Hi, I’m Bi! Happy Pride Month.”
