BEC Hewitt has put a return to acting on the table.

The wife of tennis great Lleyton Hewitt, who was once one of the biggest name starlets on Australian television, made the suggestion after placing second on the latest season of Dancing With The Stars behind winner Luke Jacobz.

“I would love to do another acting job,” Hewitt told Confidential.

“I love working with creative people so we’ll see what happens.”

Hewitt, nee Cartwright, played Hayley Smith Lawson on popular soap Home And Away from 1998 to 2005. She won the Silver Logie for Most Popular actor in 2005 and was nominated for the Gold Logie the following year.

Hewitt met her now husband the year she finished up on Home And Away, marrying in July that year at the Sydney Opera House.

Since then, she has put acting on hold to devote her life to being a mother to the couple’s three children.

“For now, back to running the kids around,” she said of her schedule after Dancing With The Stars. “I love being able to attend their tennis matches, dance shows and music performances.”

Hewitt, 37, dedicated her Dancing performances to Kids Under Cover, a charity that provides support for kids at risk of homelessness.

“What I want to come out of participating in this series is to inspire people to do the things they love to do,” she said. “Who knows how much fun you just might have.”

Jacobz meanwhile is also a Home And Away actor, having first joined the cast in 2008 and recently returned to the soap.

“To win is honestly the greatest achievement of my life,” Jacobz told The Daily Telegraph.

“To have put the hours in that we did … to literally dedicate my heart and soul to it makes it

so rewarding. I have never wanted something so much in my life.”

Others to have competed in the all star season of Dancing With The Stars include Kyly Clarke, Lincoln Lewis, Fifi Box, Ada Nicodemou and Manu Feildel.
