Baby love: Power skipper Rozee and fiancee Maisie’s gender reveal
Port Adelaide skipper Connor Rozee and his fiancee Maisie Packer are counting down the weeks until the arrival of their first child, sharing its gender with fans.

Talk about Power couple goals! Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee’s revealed the gender of the baby he and fiancee Maisie Packer are expecting, sharing the happy news with AFL fans during Gather Round.
Rozee and Ms Packer, who are both in their early 20s, are one of the game’s most popular couples, catching the attention of photographers at last year’s Brownlow Medal.
Speaking to Channel 7’s Brian Taylor aka Roaming Brian after the Power thrashed the Bombers at Adelaide Oval, “superstar” Rozee revealed the bub was due in “nine or 10 weeks”, saying the countdown to the due date was “moving quickly”.
When Taylor asked about the baby’s “brand”, Rozee answered: “It’s going to be a girl.”
Rozee also reminded Taylor and his fans that being dad to a girl would give him another thing in common with a number of his teammates because there were “a few girls in the club already”.
Earlier this year Port Adelaide AFLW coach Lauren Arnell and her wife Lexi Edwards welcomed a baby girl Marlie, and last year Tom Clurey and partner Mickaylah O’Donoghue announced the arrival of Hazel, following Guy Ross and his wife Tonya becoming parents to Anya.
Ms Packer who holds a degree in psychological science from the University of Adelaide also did a gender reveal of her own on Instagram.
About five weeks ago she posted photos of herself in a pretty pink sundress and pink diamond necklace from Class A Jewellers.
“25 weeks of growing our little girl,” she wrote, adding: “Thank you Class A for the most special gender reveal necklace. It will be cherished forever.”
The announcement was met with congratulations from Kellie Finlayson, wife of Rozee’s teammate Jeremy, Power legend Gavin Wanganeen’s wife Pippa and model Eliza Waterhouse.
Just before Christmas Rozee and Ms Packer, who got engaged in October last year, revealed – also on Insta – that they were looking forward to being parents.
“Best Christmas present ever,” Rozee captioned a black-and-white image of himself holding Ms Packer’s belly.
The news was met with much excitement from friends and family eager to offer their congratulations, including Kellie Finlayson who said: “The best ever, so happy for you two.”
Hollywood star Teresa Palmer also chimed in with: “BEST NEWS EVERRRRR.
Rozee had a top season in 2023, scoring his second all-Australian jacket and finishing second in Port Adelaide’s best and fairest award, the John Cahill Medal.
He was also named as the Power’s new captain in December and re-signed with the club for a further eight seasons on a multimillion-dollar deal.
When Rozee and Ms Packer got engaged in October, they shared the news on Insta.
