Former cricket star Greg Blewett will join Andrew Jarman and Bernie Vince on Triple M Adelaide’s revamped drivetime sports show.

The retired Australian batsman-turned-media personality has been a regular at the station for the last couple of years, featuring with Jarman and Vince on the weekend morning program, Dead Set Legends. Blewett has also worked as the station’s boundary rider at Crows and Power home matches.

Now he’ll bring a strong cricket flavour to the weekday sports show, The Rush Hour, alongside the former Crows duo.

“I can’t wait to join Bernie and Jars this year. I get to talk sport, have a laugh and hang out with a couple of legends. It doesn’t get much better than that,” said Blewett, 49, who played 46 Tests for Australia between 1995 and 2000.

“It will be good to get some more cricket expertise on the show, and I’m looking forward to the move to drive radio.”

Jarman said he was excited to welcome an “SA cricket icon” onto the program, which has been shortened by 30 minutes and will air weekdays in the 6-7pm timeslot.

Vince added: “‘Let’s hope he has got funnier since I last saw him!”

Jarman previously hosted The Rush Hour with former Sydney Swan Dale Lewis, before Crows 2009 club champion Vince replaced Lewis last year.

Triple M Adelaide Content Director Matthew O’Reilly said the trio had already developed a “very successful” on-air chemistry.

“The show is known for entertaining Adelaide with brilliant chemistry, covering everything important to South Australia in the world of sport. It will be great to have them on-air together five days a week,” he said.

The new Rush Hour will begin on January 18.
