PREVIEW
It’s now or never for the Darwin Buffaloes women who need to pull off one of their best wins of the season to squeak into the final five.
The NT News and KommunityTV will stream every moment of this clash from 6.30pm on Saturday.
The Buffettes were impressive coming out of the Christmas break, snaring a couple of wins and a close run defeat to PINT that put them in finals contention.
However, recent heavy defeats to current league leaders St Mary’s and then to Palmerston has put them back in the pecking order and needing something special to remerge.
Key injuries and line-up changes has set the side back, but they won’t want to end their season without having fought for a spot in the knockouts.
That’s exactly where the Tigers are going to be as they sit in third with their only losses of the season coming to the sides above them.
Nightcliff celebrated the 100th game of one of their leaders, Sophie Hatzismalis, last week and were inspired in their defeat of Waratah.
Cassie McWilliam is the leading goal scorer with 30 and is likely to finish that way, while the midfield unit continues to impress.
The full match replay will be available at the conclusion of the game.
