PINT have found their groove on top of the table rolling over the Palmerston Magpies to continue their winning momentum, despite a scrappy final term.
The Greenants travelled to Cazalys Arena already one win clear atop the ladder of the NTFL Premier League and despite the scrap proved too good against the side sitting on the opposite end.
PINT did struggle to find an entry in their early forays forward that they could make use of as Palmerston were able to disrupt and limit their scoring for much of the first quarter.
However, as the game wore on and particularly in the third quarter their midfield dominance and their accuracy when in with a shot told as they ran out the 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57) winners.
PREVIEW
PINT and Palmerston find themselves on opposite ends of the NTFL ladder after 10 rounds, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to play for here.
The Greenants will be gunning for a percentage boosting win while Palmerston want their maiden victory of the season, particularly on their home deck at Cazalys Arena.

WHY TO WATCH
PINT have dropped just one match this season, against reigning premiers Southern Districts, and are in a rare position of sitting atop the premier league ladder.
They saw off the big challenge of Waratah last round, but this week presents a different task in maintaining their form against a lower-ranked side ahead of next week’s meeting with Nightcliff.
Connor McDonald and James Rowe are two of the form players in the competition, with their prowess in the midfield having a big influence on a number of contests this season.
Cameron Wilson is another ball winner who has gone from strength to strength in the past couple of weeks, while Noah Spiteri has 13 goals from his four matches.
PINT’s defence has been just as impressive, led by skipper Brad Ryan, which has only conceded more points than one side, that being St Mary’s who have had one extra bye.
That’s the challenge for Palmerston, a side that have yet to post a win despite some more passionate showings in recent weeks.
Prior to their bye, the Magpies pushed the Buffaloes all the way, even going ahead at once stage, despite being behind by 20 points in the first half.
It was a similar story against Tiwi a few weeks earlier with the developing outfit allowing an early deficit that left them too much to do when they got back in the game.
Jayden Davey and Alwyn Davey were standouts against the Buffaloes in the Magpies last outing, while Heath Morgan-Morris presented as a strong scoring option.
