Wondaree Farms at Darlington Point for sale
The property, at Darlington Point, is one of the last substantial holdings in the area yet to be corporatised.
An irrigation property at Darlington Point in the NSW Riverina has been listed for sale with an asking price of more than $30 million.
The 2023ha property, Wondaree Farms, is being sold via expressions of interest.
The property’s water entitlements including 1667 megalitres of zone one water and 2681 megalitres of zone two water from the Lower Murrumbidgee Groundwater.
Wondaree Farms also has access to the Kerabury Channel.
Selling agent Jason Haines from QPL Temora said the sale presented one of the last opportunities to buy a substantial holding in the area, as lots of other properties have been corporatised.
“This property can grow a range of crops, run livestock and is in a great position being on the Kidman Way with easy access to Griffith,” he said.
About 1100ha is set up for row cropping while about 100ha is planted to a mix of grape varieties including shiraz, semillon, merlot, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon, with plantings established in 1999 and 2006.
Mr Haines said the owners had also run livestock on the property, which showed how versatile the land was.
It comes as a property nearby, Ballandry Station at Griffith, was recently listed for sale for the second time in three years.
The irrigation property is one of the largest individually owned farming enterprises in the Northern Riverina.
Sprawling 26,945ha, the station is owned by David Bartter.
