Huge Ballandry Station in Riverina back on the market
Ballandry Station at Griffith in NSW is back on the market - after it failed to sell.
One of the largest individually owned farming enterprises in the Northern Riverina has been listed for sale for the second time in three years.
The huge Ballandry Station, sprawling 26,945ha at Griffith in NSW, has been listed for sale via expressions of interest.
The irrigation property, owned by David Bartter, is being marketed by Nutrien Harcourts and Rivwater & Property.
It comes after the station was listed for sale in June 2018, through Rural White Rural, but didn’t sell.
An asking price is yet to be disclosed.
According to the listing, Ballandry Station comprises sixteen parcels, which have been carefully aggregated by Mr Bartter over many years.
Four of the properties, Ballandry, Blue Plains, Yarranlea and Bowketts, fall within Murrumbidgee Irrigation’s area of operation.
The properties hold 45,457 Murrumbidgee Irrigation delivery entitlements from the enhanced Northern Branch Canal.
Plans are in place to sow up to 54,000 acres (21,853ha) of crops this season.
Selling agent Robert Cavallaro said, “while the properties are being offered for sale as a whole, consideration will be given to expressions of interest for the potential irrigation areas and or the dryland farming areas”.
“The dryland farming could be divided into three/ four separate farming holdings,” Mr Cavallaro said.
Expressions of interest will close on July 22.
